This year we went all out! I got this fabulous pink dress from my fabulous Grandmother Harriet a couple months ago and had been waiting for the perfect occasion to flaunt it. I decided to go as cotton candy and brandon was a bag of popcorn. We found the snow pants (pretty sure they were women's even thought they were in the men's section considering the red heart buttons) at Savers close to our house for like $6 and did a little embellishing with white duct tape. Then strung and hot glued about 4 giant bowls of popcorn onto his shirt. The trickiest part of my costume was getting a hold of actual cotton candy without a fair in town. After several trips and some phone calls I found it at Sams Club and even resorted to printing a one day pass (we normally are costco people) just to go in and pick up a couple buckets of cotton candy, but it was soooo worth it!
This picture is at our friends Becca and Taber's house for their awesome Halloween party. Seriously, they went all out. It was so much fun! There were even Minute to Win it games going on that we all (40+ people) got to participate in. We all voted for top costumes a...n.....d drum roooooollll....we got 3rd place! Which means we won a gift card to go out to dinner and a movie, pretty sweet I think!
I'll post more pics from our ward Halloween party soon that include cute Hazel bug as a fairy, me as a tempting witch, and Brandon as a studly cowboy. Just have to get my camera and computer to get along.
You can check out a super flattering, yet ever so ridiculous video of me attempting to win a minute to win it game on our lovely hosts' blog http://taberandbecca.blogspot.com/2010/10/minute-to-win-it-videos.html.
I like the way my fringe swings!
