When I finished my friends little 4 year old boy asked me, "so, did you win?! " I was like, "um, no, there were like 6,000 people in the race, but I did get a medal!" and he was like "ok, that's cool".
The fam afterwards. That's right, somehow I got the crazy idea at the end of February that I should run a Half Marathon on Easter weekend. That's right, with only 5 weeks to train, it was a little intense. I had two friends that were much more seasoned runners than I am running in it, but after lots of runs and a crazy month and a half of training, I DID IT!
This is Becca, she rocks and broke 2hrs, I only managed to keep her in eye sight for about the first mile, but it was awesome!
On the last stretch.Only about half way through...you can tell because I'm still smiling.
One of my training runs in pouring rain, it was awesome, I think it was actually one of my favs because I listened to "Singing in the Rain" on my ipod while I ran.
Hazel chillin in her stroller hanging out with daddy while I ran. Notice her cute outfit and hair that daddy did all by himself, quite impressive!
Hazel just chillin at home with daddy's high lift jacks.
