afternoon at the pool

so we went with the intention of enjoying a beautiful day and playing in the water
but then, we tested the water
and decided that hazel would scream
so brandon did a quick swim, i sunbathed
and hazel played in the shade of her stroller
oh well
we still enjoyed ourselves
when we had enough sun
we played ping pong in the clubhouse
brandon won twice,
but i managed to beat him the third time
he might have been playing easy on me
but we had fun
hazel giggled watching us then fell asleep
what a wonderful saturday afternoon!

my lil princess

we went for a walk the other day
one of our classic walks to the park
she sat on my lap and we played on the swings
on our way home she fell asleep
with her legs just so delicately crossed
i couldn't resist snapping a picture

she eats solids

this is one of her first attempts at eating rice cereal
she's a pro now, i just think this is cute
wants to eat the bib as much as the cereal

easter

so it's a little belated
but i found these pics
from easter sunday
and our moab easter jeep safari
brandon and i have gone the last 3 years now
and we had a blast
i was so nervous to take hazel
but she slept better than i did
she was so bundled in like 3 layers of blankets
and a little hat to top her off
it was adorable
i love the pink jeep, it's fun to jeep watch there, just see what people do with theirs
here we were at potato salad hill
watching people make fools of themselves
what can i say, it's tradition
while brandon went off with his uncle and cousin's fam
hazel and i hung out at the davey's hotel
and went for her first swim
i don't know what i was expecting
but she had that look on her face the whole time
no emotion at all
no shock, no excitement, just chillin

we live in nh!!!

things seem so crazy
we've graduated and moved across the country
but brandon loves his job
we feel super lucky
and our condo is perfect for us
our complex is right in this little grove of trees
it's beautiful
we went on a walk last night
and just can't get over how much we love the area
hazel just keeps getting more and more animated
and has discovered her toes!
it's the cutest thing
she also rolled over on mothers day
then we couldn't get her to do it again
then today i set her on her tummy and every time i turned around she was on her back
it's so funny,
as though she doesn't want me to see her
